WHEELS STOLEN OFF CAR
Sorry to hear about the whole situation man, but glad you got your car back. I swear if I ever saw someone doing that to ANYONES car, especially mine, I would beat the living hell out of them. Scums of the earth.
so the wheels stolen off the raptor..pic i attached in previous pages, was actually left on wooden pillars..taken off a customers driveway infront of his house overnight... the insurance company came over to his house and THEN the tow truck was called.. no damage to under carriage however the replacement wheels costed insurance company a whopping $10,000
So, haven't barely been on this site or any other lately with work kicking my *** and having to put the Camaro away and do full interior/exterior details on both my wife's Beetle and the Mustang to get them ready for winter, so here's a small update.
I may or may not have mentioned before that the police saw one SUV not registered to our building go in and out of the garage several times on camera the night this happened - turned out to be some kid who had moved in with his mom in our building illegally off the lease. Probably looking for drug money. Police also told me when they steal wheels, they usually come around, loosen the lugs, then come back later to actually rip the wheels off; this makes sense given that this vehicle was seen driving in and out several times in the middle of the night.
We had a community meeting with the police here in our building last week to discuss all the thefts in our garage, and it sounds like the cops have a pretty good idea who it is - they couldn't mention specifics (the cop at the meeting wasn't my specific investigator, I need to call him for specifics) but said they had some leads and were doing some undercover work that would take a couple weeks to bear fruit, so we will see - but it sounds like they haven't quit and might catch the bastard.
As far as the car is concerned, this entire hideous ordeal is now in the car's past. The car has been fixed at the body shop, returned to me, I waited 30 days for the paint to fully cure, then last week I did a two step buff on the four painted panels (rockers/bumpers) with my Porter Cable to clean up the buffer trails from the body shop. Then between last Friday and this Friday I detailed the hell out of the car inside and out, trunk, engine bay, everything. Car now is wearing one coat of glaze, two coats of sealant, and two coats of wax, jambs and all. New winter tires are on (from when it was in the body shop), and I had the oil changed just a few days before it got messed up, so now I am ready to roll and file this in the car's ugly past.
So the car has come full circle in regards to this incident and the car is back to how it should've been all along. Here are a few 5 AM pics down in my garage after I finished. Nothing special, but glad this ordeal is over and the car is back on track. Just in time for winter.

Car looks awesome! I have the Sterling Gray / Track Package as well, and your pics make me think I should go ahead and remove the quarter window louvers (just looks cleaner without). Glad you have this incident in the rear view mirrors- and this whole thread has me appreciating our two-car garage (when the Mustang isn't parked there, its at work- where I can see it from the window).
Hoping the perp that jacked your wheels spends his Thanksgiving in jail!

**** you guys got hit with snow hard, i live in Canada and we still dont have anything on the ground yet. Car looks really good though man. Cant even tell it was repaired. I feel your pain of daily driving in the winter. Its only a matter of seconds before that great detail job is out the window.
Normally I don't like those rims but I kind of like them with the SGM color. I have the same color car and someone locally is selling a set of those rims with the factory tires still on them for $700 for the set with the sensors and lugnuts included. Tires are at about 80%. I thought about buying them but I hate the factory Pirelli's and until I saw your pictures, didn't really like the rims. I may have to re-evaluate. Nice looking car by the way.
How do you like those tires? I'm thinking of getting the exact same ones.

GTA got some. It was there in the morning to afternoon. Then melted. Overnight's a deep freeze so I get to drive on ICE in the morning! Fun times.
Good to see OP's car is back. Are those Michelin Pilots? How do they hold up? I've got the X-Ice 3's. Michelin makes awesome tires.
