Whathefck! This is not happening to our ponies again Grrrr. I just got mine back from bodyshop fixing the fender after getting a huge dent while 'parked' at work.

Thats right, my car didn't move an inch. No, this wasn't some cart damage or door ding we get at the market lot - the damage was so severe the dent repair guy refused to fix it.

I am truly sorry for what happened.
My worry is that will you feel safe parking at that place again, something has to be done?

Jesus... I'm really sorry that happened to you.

The fact that they only did it to one side is interesting. I think someone mentioned earlier that someone/thing must have spooked them. I agree.

Maybe someone who parks in that garage saw something. Or at least saw someone suspicious leaving the garage at that time.

I'd start asking around. You never know.

Bring photos with you. When people see what happened to you, they surely won't want it to happen to them, so they won't mind answering a few questions if it means protecting their own property. At least I wouldn't mind.

I'm not saying to go all sherlock holmes with this, but any info you can get to the police would be helpful.

Good luck man. I hate to see these types of things happen.

Update, some girl in the garage stopped me to tell me she saw the car in the wheel-less condition at 8:45 AM Sunday, so that narrows it down to pretty much overnight on Saturday.

Also, I was going to get new all season tires for it next month, so the shop is going to just put four all seasons on the car all in one shot, I'll pay for two plus any price difference for OEM replacements and my new tires for the other two - insurance will cover the OEM cost of two F1 tires. I decided to go with a set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 tires, so I'm pretty happy about that.

Also while it's there, since the front bumper got slightly damaged and needs to be fixed/recleared, I am also having the lower honeycomb grille replaces with a new OEM piece since the car came out of the factory with the block heater plug hanging out of a cutout honeycomb.

So hopefully the car comes back better than before this happened. Still never be the same though IMO; just never the same once it's been apart and had paint and body work, no matter how good it is.

Body shop couldn't get the car into the shop today, they had no spare wheels with a Ford bolt pattern to roll it in the shop, but he ordered the wheels and tires today and they should be there tomorrow, then they will get it on the lift and finish the estimate.

I know how you feel. We had someone smash the back window of our truck to try and steal our radio. Idiot cut himself on the glass and let's just say it wasn't his first crime when we found out who it was.
Thankfully he didn't take anything from my car and I was parked right next to the truck.
315s don't come cheap lol

Small update, wheels and tires came in today but are not on yet. they will get them on and get it in the shop and on the lift to finish the estimate tomorrow or friday.

police sergeant will be picking up a copy of the surveillance footage tomorrow. leasing people said they didnt see anything since the cameras of course point at the doors and not the vehicles in the garage, but said there were a few large vehicles that went in and out throughout the night, they now want to figure out if any of those large vehicles do not belong.

i mentioned that since the other two wheels were loose that they must've fled when someone entered the garage, so i told them to consider looking closely at anything where someone comes in the garage and someone immediately leaves just seconds later, they said there might have been something like that on the tape and will take a closer look.

ill just be happy for the car to be rightfully seated on wheels and tires again instead of blocks.

will add some pics in a few minutes

As the car sits now after being marked up with a paint marker. yes, I told them not to wash it either before or after the repair, ill deal with the body shop dust myself:

cringeworthy photos of why it took three hours to put it on a tow truck:

Pretty sad sight, six months to the day I drove it home from the dealer unprepped and covered in plastic right off the truck.

People are ****.

Wow that looks like quite the cringe worthy adventure loading it on the truck. Kudos to them for, what looks like, being very careful loading it on.

Man,....that is horrible. Sorry you have to go through something like this. Good luck with everything.
I'm still trying to get over some of the comments here like,....it's only a car. Don't worry about it. lol Yeah,....if it were their car, they would have been pissed off and mad as hell too. You spend your hard earned money for your car.
Good luck man.

Thanks guys, I think the tow truck driver did the best he could given the circumstances and the equipment on hand.

Scott - PM sent

EDIT: also going with stock wheels, I like them plus don't want to shell out cash for the other two. Plus the same ******* will probably come take the new stock ones again anyway, seeing as they already tried to take the other two but had to quit and flee.

Fully expecting this to happen again soon as I get the car back, sadly.

I have them on mine but with pros I don't know if they will do any good. I had locks on my truck and when I had it in for service they used a impact wrench to put the locks back on and stripped out the star ( you're never supposed to use an impact wrench on wheel locks. ) They weren't McGards so they may have been softer metal. Anyway, I got a lug removal socket at Pep Boys which is designed to cut into the outside the the lock nut. I have an air impact wrench at home and I had the lock off in about 1 minute. There were sparks coming off the nut but it came off. With the modern lithium powered impact guns you could do this anywhere. I guess the only thing that would prevent it is if the locknut is in a tight deep well in the wheel so you can't get a socket around it. If you make it a big enough pain they'll move on to an easier target. I hope your repairs go well.

Thanks guys.

As mentioned, the locking nuts only came with the reverse sensing/security package, which i didn't get. I am adding OEM locking nuts this time, but a pro will still get the wheels if they really want them.

Who would've thought some asshats would want stock Brembo wheels anyway? I'm curious to see how long it takes for the AMG wheels to disappear off the new C class coupe in the garage...

Well to be honest, I would love a set of stock Brembo wheels. I don't think I could have moved the car. Looking at those pics of it going on the tow truck made me cringe. The pics of the rear of the car while going on the flat bed. Luckily I have friends with mustangs that I would ask to borrow two wheels so I can get it to the shop. I guess putting two wheels up front and towing it from the rear for a short distance wouldn't have been any less damaging? I'm sorry this happened to you and on such a beautiful car. Hope she gets back on her feet soon!

Sorry that happened to you. Makes me happy I have a garage.
If I didn't I would buy some of those ugly Niche Milans so no one would want to steal them,
