Wheels for 2011 Sterling Grey GT

I'm looking at 20" Verde Axis Matte Graphite wheels. My 2011 Sterling Grey GT has a few mods - Borla S-Types, Airaid CAI, Steeda Custom Tune and a few other appearance mods but I've not done anything to suspension, height, etc. I am going to get the wheels and then lower in a month or two and I know they will be a gap but I prefer to go ahead and get the wheels before my wife spends the money.

Will 20x10.5 fit ok on rear and 20x9 On front with my stock setup for now? This is not a DD, only gets driven a couple times a week to store or around town. Stays nice and clean I garage the rest of the time. I just really like the meaty back tire. The tire is +45 offset, I assume that'll fit? The site says fitment is good on my car but wanted to make sure since I'm not overly familiar with wheels, etc.

A 10.5 rear wheel with a 45mm offset will put the outside of the wheel just outside the rear fender.

It'll work but you'll have to run a stretched tire if you lower the car.

A 10.5 should really be about 52-58 offset if you plan to run a 305-315 tire

Yes that'll work, but a 275 tire fits best on 9.5-10"-wide wheels, they'll be slightly stretched on a 10.5 wheel

What size wheels are you looking at for the front?

I'd just do the 19x9.5 with 275/40/19 tires all around.

Unless you'll NEED more traction due to a power adder you're planning on.

And you'll be able to rotate if you do the same size all around

Thanks gabe...apart from headers, etc it'll be a while before I would ever add forced induction, etc. Is traction for power the only reason people stagger? Car will be driven maybe a couple thousand miles a year at most. Not too concerned about rotation with the amount of miles I drive.

I really like the look of the beefier tire in the back.

Will 20x10.5 fit in back without any issues on my stock suspension, etc? Maybe 305's on rear....

It should be fine with stock suspension.
They might stick out a bit but the tall rear stock suspension should mean no rubbing.

To give you a better idea of the fitment, this is a 45mm offset 20x10.5 wheel on the back, just not sure of the tire size:

And this is the same size/offset wheel with a 315/35/20 tire, and the site I grabbed it from says the car is running stock suspension and has no rubbing:

Gabe's post above should answer all your questions. If you WANT to run a 10.5, find a wheel with those offsets. That allows you to run a 305-315 (which is what looks GOOD with a 10.5 wide wheel) with no rubbing, even with slight lowering springs, etc.

I don't think I've seen this wheel with larger than +45 offset. I've looked everywhere. Does that mean I need to go less tire than 305? The Velgen pic above does not look bad to me.

Do they make a 20x10 with a 40 offset?
That would still work fine with a 305/35/20 tire and tuck in another few mm.

I thought I had narrowed it down to the Bathurst or Rohana but love the look of the car with the black Giovanna Dublin-5's (bottom pic). I had not really considered black wheels since my last vehicle (Armada) was almost the same grey as my SG and it had black wheels so I wanted to do something different. But I like these...what do you guys think?

Have you thought about forgestars? You can get any offset you want and several different colors not to mentiin they weigh very little. Check out mod bargins since they have all the colors and styles listed.
