Hi bill! So you're talking 19x9.5 on all 4 corners? I'm not quite familiar with the offsets of the SVE drifts, but I'm pretty sure 275 or 285 will fit in the rear, and 275 will fit in the front. You want a square set up? Maybe some folks are more familiar with the 285 drifts up front.

To the OP, good luck with the research. I remember when I had to find mine. It was fun and frustrating (at times). It will ultimately depend on you, but there are a lot of good mesh style wheels there. Hard to choose.

The Drifts have a +35 offset according to the LMR site. They have a dark stainless color that I really like and they have a pic of a DIB with them and they looked really good. And yes it has been a bit of a roller coaster ride, almost too many choices. I feel like I've looked at every Mustang wheel in the US.

Right now that I think I've narrowed down to 3:
  • The Drifts - cant beat the price and they look good 640 for the set!
  • Forgestar F14's, I found a Brushed Titanium, looks killer. Cons 6-8 weeks wait.
  • VMR looking at their V810's hyper silver. I would need to check with the experts here to make sure the offset is correct they have a 19x9.5 et40 which should work? Y/N? Do I need to follow up with them on backspacing or center bore?

I'd go with the forgestars.

It's 285 for the widest in any case, I believe for the factory Brembos, some folks fit a 275 at the widest point without bulging. I wouldn't go any wider that 275 on the Brembos, 285 for aftermarket wheels, usually 19 or 20 x 9 or 9.5.

I see you're from Warner Robins GA? I have a few employees headed down there this summer for some government depot work. I should go there sometime.
I didn't take it as being short. I'm an engineer and you answered my question.

What platform do you work on? Now that the AC-130H has been retired, I jumped from writing software to testing it. Currently working WC130-J hurricane hunters. Going to Keesler in 5 weeks to test on the aircraft.

Haha fair enough . We were on same page then.

We work on multi platforms, fixed and rotary wing, but also non aircraft platforms like air and weapons and mobility. I enjoy it a lot. Was also an engineer back in the day, working front end design. I preferred that over back end integration.

I'm running Forgestar CF5's in a 19X9.5 square....+35 offset....paired with 285/35/19's....I went with the same size so I could rotate the tires. Car is lowered 1" in the rear, stock ride height in the front...no rubbing or interference issues. For me the +35 works perfect.

Being old school, I like my wheels spoke type IE: Bullitt..... which are hard to find for my 2012 GT500 because of clearance issues with Brembo brakes in the front end.... However... American Racing does make a beautiful 20 inch Bullitt-type wheel ... Torq-Thrust M... in chrome, black and anthracite.... I bought the anthracite and have them shod with Michelin Pilot Super Sport OEM size tires.... 265X35X20 front 285X35X20 in the rear... After the Lower Mainland rains have subsided, I shall be taking Performance white, SVT, Glass Roof, with Recaros Shelby GT500 out of heated storage, make complete change of wheels/tires and see how they perform.... the blogs say that this combo is much better than the OEM Goodyear F1 G2.... (good for hot track days) which can be very dangerous in our cooler climate.... The road surface needs to be AZ hot when they perform.... Michelins make a big difference....
Matti/Vancouver BC.... presently in Finland....

No problems running 285's with a 35 offset, I was wondering if there would be any problem with that size, or if I'd have to run a 275. Do you have any pictures of your car from the side?

I gotta stop looking at pics on the internet! I'm looking at SSR GTv03, and Gram lights 57xtreme, and 57Fxx....I think the Grams are going to be way over my budget....

Ask Jay from Hypermotive about the SSR GTV03's. I am still thinking about getting those too.

Thanks Gents. I've been in contact with Jay about several sets of wheels , just not about the SSR's yet. Lol. Need to make up my mind and quit looking so much.

My latest likes are the Gram lights about 22lbs a piece. 57Fxx (19x10 available) on left and 57xtreme (19x9.5) on the right. The Gram lights and SSR's seem very popular with the Asian cars, and they look pretty killer on them. And from what I can tell they seem to be a good solid wheel.

The SSR GTV03 for a 19x9.5 is around 25lbs, similar style to the 57Fxx, too many choices!

Can't go wrong with any of these wheels really. I wouldn't worry about asian/american/german even. A friend just put Volk TE37's on his E90 M3 for the track with MPSS's. I have another that put them on his E92 with Michelin Pilot Sport Cups. Strong wheels because they track their cars regularly.
