My thoughts exactly. After the seat belt goes on traction control gets turned off.

Darn... I've left mine on the default mode, which appears to be... NORMAL!

It's like a radio station for me, I alternate them with my mood.

Hello cdiaz1069,

Here’s the info I found in your owner's manual:

STEERING FEEL
This feature allows three modes of steering feel.
Press RESET to cycle through the settings of:
STANDARD– Provides a balance between a comfort and sport feel.
SPORT– Slightly higher effort required for steering with more road
force felt through the steering wheel. See note below.
COMFORT– Slightly less effort required for steering with less road
force felt through the steering wheel.
Note: When AdvanceTrac® sport mode is on or when AdvanceTrac®
and traction control are off, the steering feel will be locked in sport
mode. The display will show STEERING FEEL <SPORT> LOCKED and
the steering feel will not be selectable.

I hope this helps.

Deysha

Thanks, Deysha. I did read all that when I bought the car. I just don't feel any difference between standard and sport. A few members suggested some things that I will try to see if it's noticeable.

Ive been switching a lot recently after seeing this thread and feel a huge difference. Its normally been on sport since I got it but I changed it to comfort one day and the turns were a lot less stiff. The sport is noticeably stiffer in my GT. The comfort is a lot looser or easier to turn.

Why stop there? I disable Advancetrac entirely unless it's raining.

I've gotten so used to sport mode that anything else feels likes there is play in the steering.

Honestly all V8 powered Mustangs should come with sport standard and sportier as the only other setting. I absolutely cannot drive in anything but sport steering, and I still wish the steering felt heavier.

I think the varying levels of sensitivity are great. Having said that though, my normal routine is sit down, seatbelt on, car on, advancetrack fully off even in rain. I really like how sport feels. I kinda wish there was anither setting a notch above like "track" or "supersport" that would firm it up a bit more but also firm up the suspension, brake and gas pedals. Providing quicker response overall to any input.

Got the suspension settings on my volvo s60r. They are great until you have to replace them then $$$$. It was something like $700.00 per strut from the dealer. It is nice though
