What wheels and tires should I get??
Hey guys, I'm a little new to the whole forum thing but I heard this is where to be. I'm sure everyone is planning on getting something upgraded to their stang with their tax return money. Well I'm planning on getting new wheels and tires for my 2014 v6 silver muatang. I have an idea of going with 20x9 in the front and 20x10.5 in the rear. I'm just a little stuck on what size tires to go with and what kind to get with reasonable pricing. And I'm open to opinions with if I should go lower in size of the rim. I'm also panning to lower the car when I get my new wheels. Just a basic 1.5" lower with the sr performance springs from AM. I would really appreciate the help!!

Yea I'm getting those for sure ! Lol I love them. It will be different and I think the gold will look awesome with the silver car. Now I'm on the debate for what kind of tires and what size do I go with??

Seems to me that off sizes (i.e) 19" usually cost more per tire and wheel. I went with 20's and paid less than I would have if I went 19". I'm wearing 20x10 with Mickey Thompson 305/35/20 rear and 20x9 with Notto 555 275/35/20's. I got my wheels from American Muscle - AMR Black.

That's what I saw too. 19" wheel setup seem to be more expensive. So I'm def gonna do 20's. I like the amrs but I want something a little different on the street. Don't get me wrong the amrs gloss black are sweet but I'm trying to go for a little throw off lol but that's just me. How much did that whole setup up cost you though?

What about Michelin P2's?
There's a local guy here selling these:
Wheels are 19x8.5 +25mm, and 19x10 +25mm. They should fit 1994-2004 Mustangs, 350z's 370z's, g35 amd g37.
Tires are Michelin PS2's, 95% tread remaining. 3 of the 4 wheels are 10/10, the other is a 9/10 and has a small blem from dropping a wheel nut on it.
Tire size is 255/40/19 on the front and 325/30/19 on the rear. Excellent grip in all summer conditions.
He's asking $2600

He said he did not want to spend more than 2K. That is why I suggested get the wheels he wants and look for a more affordable performance tire. They work. I use to buy Michelin but they are way to expensive for what they are. Pepboys has the Coopers or the Goodyears for less than $600 for a set installed.

You should really decide for yourself. Having other people pick whats "hot" doesn't really make it yours. There is a section here where people post pictures of their cars all the time and you should be able to get an idea of what you like.

Hey Silver,
Welcome to the forums!
It's tax return season! Time to have some fun am I right?
Your wheel sizes should not be a problem when going with the SR Performance Lowering Springs. They will provide you with a great looking drop but still maintain a comfortable ride and tire clearance.
I have a 2014 GT myself and as soon as the weather takes a turn for the better (Still a cold Winter here in PA) I will be installing the MMD Staggered Zeven Charcoal Wheel & NITTO INVO Tire Kit.
I love the wheels, the tires and everything about that kit!
We take time to make sure that all of our wheel/tire kits will not have a problem being installed on any lowered Mustang as long as it is not lowered more than 2".
Hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions!
