What weighs less?

Does anyone know the weight difference between a Premium GT with the stock roof and a Premium GT with a glass roof? I can't imagine there's a huge difference, if any, but I'm just curious.

28 lbs. I can't remember where I saw that, but it's been posted on here somewhere.

Glass roof option is a 28 lb. addition to the car. Also, it moves the center of gravity up a tad on the vehicle.

No problem. Same reason I didn't bother with it.

Steve is right.

Although I hardly doubt anyone here would notice an appreciable difference driving a glass roof vs non-glass roof car on a track

You make a valid point and I do like the look of the glass roof but 28 pounds is 28 pounds and when tracking, less weight means faster times, generally....

True, plus it's extra money.

But to me I'm willing to sacrifice because it gives the car a much more open feeling in the inside. It's more like you're in a cockpit lol

if saving 0.02s in a track attack if worth it, then by all means to each their own That's whats cool about mustangs is we can get them how we want them, mostly at least

I just can't see the extra $2K cost for that cockpit type feeling. I've sat in glass roof models before and while it's cool and all, it's not worth it for what I'm going for. I'll stick with my painted steel roof.

Some people could care less about the electronics package but it was a must for a electronic nerd like myself.

Being a long time car weight nut, I sort of agonized over getting the glass roof. Really love the open feel it gives the interior, but 28 lbs... (or whatever it is).

Then I decided, since I was upgrading from an '09 GT, that the extra few lbs would be more than compensated for by the many extra hp

Plus mine's a daily commuter... not a track car.

Plus...u wont be driving a non glass roof car, then getting into a glass roof car. i could almost guarantee u'll NEVER drive two mustangs, that have all things equal side by side, to any sort of extreme to where u'd notice 28 pounds difference. Heck, 28 lbs is the difference of one additional trip to the bathroom in a day.

Bottom line; U'll learn to deal with whatever your car weight is.
