2013 vs. 2014 Track Pack

Hey guys,

In reading the description for the 2013 track pack option vs. the 2014 track pack option, the 2014 reads different and almost seems like it is stripped down from 2013. I'm going by memory from the 2013 so bear with me:

Differences:

2013 specifically said includes the Brembo Brake Package whereas 2014 says "Brembo friction material" then "upgraded brakes front and rear"

I see nothing about a Boss oil cooler on the 2014 (radiator is there though)

And, what are "unique front corner modules"?

Can anyone confirm the track pack option is the same for both years?

Thanks,

SGA

I noticed that too. I was scratching my head trying to think of the "front corner module" expanation. Here's the list..

My 2013 has:

Boss radiator
Boss rear end (Torsen LSD with 3:73 gears and the finned diff cover) also the axle is painted and the Lower control arms are the old GT500 aluminum ones.
Boss engine oil cooler (this means that it takes more oil) 8.5 QTs and 5W50 full synthetic.
Brembo brakes with same Boss pads (more friction)
Rear boss pads as well

I also opted for the cloth Recaros and haven't sat in a more comfortable driving seat...EVER. Worth every penny.

Yeah it is odd, I would assume its all the same since the price hasn't changed.

Unique corner modules = Brembo calipers.

If you dig into the Ford site there's a slightly different list of the 2014 Track Pack offering

The GT Track Pack includes:

• TORSEN® helical differential with 3.73:1 axle ratio
• Upgraded Boss® 302 radiator
• Engine oil cooler
• High-performance Brembo™ brake pad friction material upgrade
• Brembo™ Brake Package
• Upgraded front and rear brakes (with unique caliper finish) and booster
• Unique front corner modules
• 19 x 9.0 premium paint (dark stainless) aluminum wheels and 255/40-19 summer-only tire
• Tire mobility kit (HJBAB)
• Unique ESC module tuning

Doesn't explain what the "Unique front corner modules" are tho. Seems to be separate from the Brembo stuff.

I think the unique corner modules might be referring to the GT500 LCAs since they describe the Brembo calipers in the list.

We all know them for the 12 & 13. Will the 14 just be a carryover or will it have some differences than the 13'?

Different colors like no Performance White and the Red Candy is now Ruby Red, and the 14 is $500 higher in price.

I think spec-wise they are the same.

Few new colours, as mentioned.

Then there's the black appearance package, but that's little more than black mirror caps, a black rear spoiler and black whees.

My new '13 GT is Perf White. I'm actually glad the white is not available for the '14, makes mine more unique.

I'm switching them out for billet ones though. They still aren't enough.

GT500 LCAs are weak compared to the FRPP ones available. I highly suggest changing those out if you plan on driving hard.
