[QUOTE=laserred38;6939489]Here's some low-res iPhone pics to satisfy you goons until Sunday [QUOTE]

Good job Patrick. I like them very much, especially since they're so different. I'm anxious to see how they look with the knock-offs. I think it'll all work well with your theme.

But apparently your fiance doesn't think so. It's a good thing she had a barf bag ready.

Looking good so far! Are the wheels supposed to mimic the P-51 propeller? If so, maybe a subtle touch of red in them that compliment the tips of the planes propeller? Maybe a red background on the center cap? Really interested to see how this all comes together.

What do you all think? So far friends have had mixed emotions and that's perfect. If you're not pissing someone off, you're doing it wrong hahaha

Looks good to me. I had invasion stripes on my 13, and my 06 before trading each of them in and I think they would look good on your silver car with those rims.

I had even bought some stars and bars decals (black, white, RWB), but couldn't decide where to put them on the car.

That all changed when I found my new obsession and traded in my 13' after just spending 2K on BMR/Koni suspension on it (wife wasn't happy):

That is a stunningly beautiful airplane. Thank you for helping to preserve it. So much of our history is being lost to the ravages of time and political ideology (I'll let it go at that).

The P-51 is my favorite fighter from WWII; the B-17 my favorite bomber because of my late father. No doubt others such as the P-38, P-47, and Spitfire stir my loins, but no fighter plane past or present is as cool or as iconic as the Mustang. Most car guys love it because it's truly a hot rod, and it was seriously bad-a$$. And it's no small wonder that so many fighter jet jockeys today have all had opportunities to fly a P-51 and rave about it's speed, maneuverability and #1 cool factor.

Luftwaffe General and fighter ace Adolph Galland said in 1944 that when he saw the P-51 escorting bombers deep into Germany, he knew the war was lost.

Had the Mustang been available in '42/'43, the European Theatre might probably have been won a year sooner.

John

I'm a bit confused. I thought all fighter and bomber groups in Europe operated under the command of the 8th Air Force in England except for the 15th AF in Italy.

I love WWII history, especially the air campaign, but was unaware of the 9th AF. Please educate me...I'd love to know more.

Btw, my dad flew with the 305th Bomber Group (Can-Do).

Your Car Looks Great. That pictures sure bring back Memories for me. My Family owned a Union 76 station in Florida for many years. Now they are all gone here.

I had thought that same thing....I would get them.....

Thanks everyone! She was drinking a milk shake lol...my other friend said it looked like a 40 LOL

Tom, check these out: http://cruizinconceptswholesale.com/...P18X10&cat=257

Unfortunately, people's experiences have been hit or miss with this site, so I can't recommend buying from them. That said, some people have had good luck, so it might be worth a call to them? I'd do 18x10 all around with some 275/40/18 tires.

I washed it and detailed the interior. Took the wife for a ride...her first since the supercharger went in. Even after I told her what to expect, her comment was "holy s***!" when I got on it. Makes it work every penny

What did you do to your '10-'14 today?

Forgot to take the after pic in the same spot, since I was already late for lunch lol...funny it rides better now! Steeda Boss 302 springs before, H&R Supersport after. I *did* have a minor rub after going over a few pothole, driver's side rear. Still worth it, I'll see if I can roll the fenders a little, though there's not much material on our rear fenders!

I'm completely in love with the look of the car now. The new wheels and stance look so more mean. This car looks like it means business now. I also think the wheels make it look more grown up and less douchey...? Haha

I have about 250 miles on my car since installing the new tires. I just noticed that I have a slight rubbing in the rear passenger side if I drive fast on highway dips. Might have to change the struts and shocks to stiffer ones; still using the oem shocks/struts.

Any chance the rear axle is off center and could be corrected with an adjustable pan hard bar?

I already have an adjustable panhard bar and as far as I can tell, my wheels are centered. Might have to take a look at that some more.

edit: how do I exactly adjust the panhard bar to move the wheels a little bit to the driver side? I had a shop install the springs and the bar at the same time. I guess I have to jack the rear end of the car. then what?

Those were my thoughts...the wheels especially look purposeful and business-like....anti-bling and less "me-too" as well. I like them because they're so different.

Looking GREAT as usual. How have you found them for road noise and handling?

I have the same size and brand of tires. No complaints with them.
