Wow!!! I didn't think pieces that big could even get into an oil pan!

Never put mine in a show before, never thought it was show worthy. Adding the wheels kinda changed my mind about that though

what y'all think? Good setup? I wanted to go Mich. SS's but 3 month nationwide backorder on my sizes killed that idea.

they are going on these...

Very Nice! Can't wait for pics of the final product...

Finally brought the car out of storage. Car got the 3 bucket wash, iron-x and Duragloss Aquawax done by my bud at Toxix Detailing. Then drove home in the rain.

How do you like the glass roofs, even since you can't open them?. Be cool to try one out

Got my Cervini's lip done. Here's a shot of the car with the lip and the Roush splitters I did the other day.

Nice easy drive coming home, kept it out of boost until I can get it dyno tuned; no faith in the BBR supplied tune on the new engine. This is what we found in the oil pan of the old engine:

Chunks of piston skirt. Haven't done a tear down to see what all is damaged. Compression testing showed problems on 2 pistons, one on each bank.

If this snow will stop falling I'll get the catch can back on the car, and take care of a few other items.

Bad tune causing it to run lean at WOT, then possibly an overboost on top of that although everything was set up properly and it shouldn't have overboosted (but went over everything again on installing the new engine and confirmed that the proper spring was in the waste gate). Scott said it could be an over-rev allowing the side of the skirt to hit too as the piston shifted putting stress on the opposite side, although we didn't see an over-rev on the tach when I hit it.

Those are off the bottom of the piston, the skirt, so when they broke it can get down to the pan. There are marks on some of the pieces where it was chewed up a little passing the crank probably.

that's the misconception. There are TONS of people who appreciate seeing anything from bone stock to fully modded out.

Go for it, you have nothing to lose. That red is an eye catcher anyhow, believe me.

My neighbor is obsessed with boulders. They're all over his yard.
