The invoice price comes to 33290 for all those options. Why is there a $1500 difference?
You left out $850 delivery and $500ish FDAF/fuel.

Check the price lists that have been posted here. A fair price for all under normal circumstances is dealer price plus holdback. If your local dealer won't do that, someone else will. I bought mine at invoice w/o walking into a dealership. Internet is a wonderful thing. Rebates and stuff like that is from Ford, has nothing to do with the dealer. Icing on the cake.

Back to my original post. Ditch the fiance, buy the car. You could pick up a lot of guys in your new Mustang.

been there done that..
and now 12 years later im happily divorced..
I agree 100%. I completely skipped the wedding, and put the money toward a downpayment on our first home 6 years ago. It's not our dream home, but I was a home owner at the age of 24 instead of purchasing 100 orders of rubbery steak

No disrespect meant to those who do have large weddings, in some families it's a requirement. Just not my bag, IMO. 4 years later and I still don't regret my decision at all. Helped us buy and mod some really fun cars!!!

So the X Plan pricing includes that $850 fee? I knew about the $500 fee but didn't know it had the delivery fee included.

No, X-plan price doesn't include it, but your $34,807 figure does. Your invoice price of 33,290 doesn't include delivery or FDAF. So out the door, X-plan is less than $200 more than invoice.

I am going to go order it today! Thank you all for your opinions and info. After crunching some numbers over and over again for the 50th million time I realized this is what I want and I should do it now while I can be a little selfish and can afford it. We will still be able to put back the same amount of money for our house we plan to buy next year. The car also fits well into our 5 year plan because in 5 years instead of buying a new car I can just supercharge the 5.0

Well, I called a dealership about 45 mins away that my dad does business with all the time (he's a body man). I told them what the other dealership offered me which I found out to be about $170ish above invoice so they said they would give me invoice and no hidden processing fees.. so invoice + taxes and title. So I am ordering from them now and so far have really enjoyed my experience with them. Just waiting for him to call me back to place the order!!

Also, he said the $500 is gone

I dunno, I noticed it doesn't show on Ford's website anymore. Besides it has to be available when you take possession of the car anyways.

Yeah, we'll just have to see if Ford offers a new one by the time we all take delivery. Good luck on placing the order! They might ask you for a copy of your license, that's actually good as they'd be going through the Retail Order Verification then, and that generally seems to help with getting a VIN and build date assigned (though sadly it seems not shipping ).

I'm going to ask him today if he's going through the Retail Order Verification. He told me on the phone when he built the quote that he did it like the dealership was going to order the car. I'm assuming if they order it "like its for the dealership" I won't get the VIN or any verification as the car is being built, is that correct?

When i ordered my V-6, they gave me a copy of my order that had all the options, taxes, rebates, my X Plan discount plus my trade-in value. I asked them if the last dollar figure was the total 'out the door' price i would have to pay when my car came in, they said yes. My Mustang comes in, i was expecting to hear some kind of 'B.S.' story on why they have to charge me extra money. Instead, they tell me they are two new rebates for a total of $1,500. I ended up paying less than what i was expecting to pay.
