Wellp... S550 reviews are in. How do you feel about your S197 now?
I was looking at a profile shot of the new Mustang and my son walked in. When he saw it he said "what is that?" The new car just doesn't say "Mustang" like the S197 did when it was introduced.
I fear in Fords quest to build a world car they forgot to make it an American car.

If you're a S197 owner, and you're suffering from IRS envy (truly the only reason to consider buying a 2015 Mustang), I've got something for you:

Yes, it's $7k for a S197 that already has 31-spline axles (2011+ for sure, *including* the V6), but spending $7k is a lot cheaper than spending $25k (or significantly more for the Ecoboost and GT), and it's a bolt-in product.

So far, after seeing a 2015 in person, glad I got my 13. The only plus is the location of the wart and the fact that it is painted and no more antenna (At least that I saw).
Jsimmons, I have had that link in my BM's for a long time, one of these days

Now that thar picture is dirty pool no matter what model year we're talkin' about!
test drove two yesterday, one was dib regular GT with all luxury package and another one was performance pack with recaro seats. i have put some videos on insta.(not the test drive, just video clip of the pony) i took it through highway and few twisty interchange. feels planted and nice to drive. like interior more than the exterior. even the stock tune felt powerful when entering into the highway ramp. all in all liked how it rode. however not considering it now as it is selling way more than sticker.
[QUOTE=1 Alibi 2;6858130]amazing how much different the stance is in these...unless i just didnt read the mods list...the elevation doesnt make that much of a difference.....but still i wouldnt pass them up in my driveway!
I love my 14 GT TP, And I want nothing to do with an IRS rear end. They are very breakage prone, I wish the best for everyone that got a 15 but I have a feeling that we are going to see a lot IRS breakage. GM has had a huge issue with this.
The IRS is quite capable on a street car though, and with properly beefed up half-shafts and CV joints, can be great on a road racer.
That's going to be a track only mod as there isn't enough space to get the proper range of movement needed by a solid axle.
Essentially the rear of the car is going to need to be tubbed to allow for proper movement.
