just curious out of "retail orders"

who has recieved a VIN? and when did you place your order?

i placed my order on 3/31 and got a VIN on 4/8.

 

I placed my order on 3/18 and I still haven't received a VIN. I think there is a difference between a Retail order and an order through the Retail Verification System (or something). I did mine with Mark Ostroot at Price Ford and he said he placed it through the Retail Verification System and he said that his orders would just be confirmed and accepted through the system and then Ford would start scheduling them after the OK to Sell had been given. He said mine should get a VIN and build date sometime next week.

I have seen some dealers saying that no retail orders had been built before the OK to Sell but then you have tons of people saying they had retail orders and that they were scheduled and being built. So I guess in the end, I have no idea how this friggin system works. Oh well, I just want my car.

Not sure when the vin showed up.

 

V-6 ordered on March 17th. I was notified i had a VIN by my car salesman on April 5th. I went to the 'window sticker' web site the same day and printed me a few copies of the 'window sticker'. My Mustang was produced on April 13th, as of April 23rd it is in 'Transit' and headed to my dealer. The wait is almost over!!!!!!

Has anyone ever seen a Blend Number change? Mine went from 7161 to 7290 during the process. Was that because of the Order Modification?

 

You got a blend number before you got a VIN? Ford says my car is still "in processing". Do I have a blend number?

got vin exactly one week before 4/27 build date.

 

Ordered 1/19, no VIN yet.
Maybe they are letting the production line get settled in before making cars for those of us who ordered earliest because we deserve the best.
Sigh .... would be nice to have though so I can enjoy the nice weather.

 

They are 5 weeks into production, so surely they will start scheduling some of the early ROV orders now. Some people may see some news on Friday. At least I hope. I put my ROV order in 2/18, no VIN or anything yet.

 

Question.. if all of these other people that ordered in January don't have VINs, does that mean my dealer ordered my car Stock?

Placed April 17th, VIN assigned April 28th if the last update is any clue.
