Well the more I read on this forum and others. It looks like my ETA of next week is not going to happen. I’m getting very discouraged! I’m getting tired of this wait game.

Mine was built 4 days before yours so I'm crossing every limb that can that my dealer will give me news like you just got from yours

 

Im waiting to. Ordered 3-19. Sticker 4-21. Eta 5-17 I am hopeing it comes. These weeks for us put the cars at almost 8 weeks exactly so you never know what could happen. Have faith.

 

Ordered 1/17. Mine was built 4/12 and it's still sitting at the ramp. ETA was 4/16 then 4/30. They have no idea when they will ship it. Just when I thought I couldn't be treated worse by Ford, they out do themselves and surprise me.

 

Yeah trying to have faith, SynisterGT, I'm not a very patient guy. I hate waiting for things. I guess it is what it is. I just have to vent once in awhile to relieve the anxiety. At least the weather has been nice this week. I had a few chances to get my bike out and do some riding. That helps me forget about the car for awhile.

 

Well just got off the phone with my dealer and after speaking with his rep, he confirmed the hold on 5.0s. I don't know that the hold had been lifted unless they are correcting cars in the order they are supposed to ship and that's why we are seeing some movement.

 

When was your build date? Since our cars are related, both 2012 GT/CS cars, can't seem to find any of these available around the province of Québec up here.

 

5/3 was supposed to be here the 8th, then the 10th. Now it hasnt had a new eta assigned to it.

 

Regarding what with the 5.0s exactly?

 

Still sounds like speculation to me, especially since f-150's aren't being held up.

FCS level 2 doesn't have that information, so it's surprising that a regional rep would.

 

Mine is built since 04/21 and still waiting, nov 26th order...

 

Believe what u like. FCS isn't going to tell ANY customer what the exact problem is. With the Internet we all know how quickly words are twisted.

As far as the f-150s not being affected, they didn't say the engine itself is the issue, could be a wiring harness issue or something that is specific to the cars with the 5.0. One guy on here said is was a whine, could be a whine that's coming through the audio system and has nothing to do with the engine at all.

 

I agree on the speculation. There may be some individual cars held up for a 5.0 inspection, but I don't believe there is a Mustang-wide stop on the 5.0s, otherwise NO 5.0s would be shipping, and we already have seen folks take delivery over the last week, both here and on the AFM site.

 

Exactly why we are asking for more details than just "5.0 whine" or something else ambiguous.

I'm not trying to come across anyway toward you or anyone else, it is just important to relay as much information as possible, and back it up with any facts possible, otherwise it becomes pure speculation.

So many of us are still waiting for our rides, with no solid explanation as to WHY our vehicles are not meeting the ETAs, so we all are extra-sensitive to information that gets relayed about speculatory hold-ups, leaving our minds to wander every-which-way, and fear the worst.

 

No offense taken, I know where you are coming from but truth be told it doesn't matter what the issue is, fact is there is a hold and we all have to wait it out. Ford isn't going to come forth with any specific info because then it could put others in a panic over nothing. I'm sure this sort of thing happens all the time but is never noticed because most just go pick out a car on the lot and drive it home. You dint know the story of the car before the point of sale. These cars are all fords cars at this point and they need disclose anything they don't feel they need to. Some of you may of put a goodwill deposit down but that's between you and the dealer, not you and ford. Personally I find it amazing the amount of info that is available to the consumer as a car goes through the order, build and ship process.

 

Congratulations! It should be an enjoyable day of anticipation, an enjoyable evening of driving, and an enjoyable car that will erase all the frustrations.

I'm with you on this. We fully agree there is nothing we can do except wait.

One thing is for sure, others are still receiving their orders, so we know things are moving, albeit slower than most of us would like.

To add to the above, I for one am glad that Ford has caught the issue before we all have received our cars and then were soured on them because of an immediate problem that arose after delivery. Lastly, ford wants to get these cars delivered asap because at this point they are the only ones out any real money.
