**VIDEO** Steeda Short Throw Shifter Testing

Hi everyone. Here is a cool video of our head of manufacturing, Scott Boda, laying down rubber in all 4 gears during a test of a prototype 2011 5.0 GT short throw shifter.

Turn the sound up on your speakers and enjoy!!

Not to start any bashing, but have you guys measured the throw distance? It looks like more travel than my stock shifter.

Unless Scott's hands are tiny and it's throwing off my mental proportions. Haha

I'd have to see it with the full console and boot to see how short the throws really are. Looks cool

The shifter being tested has approx 20% shorter throw than stock.

LOL, Could be just background noise. That is the same car that went 12.45 @ 115.5 with just a cold air and tuner, stock everything else that I posted in a different post.

They have a second video out there that shows the difference, it's quite a bit shorter.

Is it a pain in the butt to install? havent spent much time studing that area but it seems the few times I looked it was tighter than on my 08.

That video is of a Tri-Ax in a '05-'09. Not a 2011....

It's probably the missing shifter boot that's fooling our eyes. In my case i'm happy with the stock one.

I was very happy with my stock shifter till i saw him shift to third......

But seriously this stock shifter is BY FAR the best factory shifter to come in a Mustang.

I have a Sreeda TriAx shifter in my Focus ST and it was one of the best mods I've ever done to the car. It's something you appreciate every time you drive it. I've had it 5 years now with zero problems and will be a must buy when I get my Mustang.

No, in 2004 they discontinued the SVT, 2005-2007 they offered an ST model in North America, it had a 155HP 2.3L Duratec instead of a 2.0L, discs on all 4 corners and a modified supension. Available only as a sedan and manual transmission. It is basically on par spec-wise as the SVT.

And no, unfortunately it's not the same ST as in Europe.
