Valve train or injectors? 1st Update from Dealer 4-30

Would one of you 5.0 guys take a listen to this. While my car was running it sounds like the Injectors or valve train is coming apart.... The intensity comes and goes which I think means it is normal but the racket would make a Cummins diesel blush. At 36 seconds the sound goes back to what I would call normal injector noise.

Thanks ahead of time..

That would be the injectors, the 5.0 has roller rocker arms with hydraulic lash adjusters, this is a very quiet valvetrain much different than the mechanical buckets that are found in the 3.7 L V6, don't get me wrong the 3.7 L V6 is still an insane engine.

I would get that checked out, doesn't sound like my injectors after taking off the sound deadening.

That seems very loud, might want to get it checked out. It sounds louder than the dreaded "ticking" that a lot of the 5.0's have.....

They took the car in today.......... The car has 232 miles on it and when the service manager listened to the video the first words out of his mouth were "you need a new motor" and its not the first one he has seen.

Oh crap wiz. Dang I hate to hear that. Did the manager actually hear the motor running in the car? How did it sound then? Keep us informed.
