I don't think straight pipe is the way to go. I'd recommend the Borla Atak system alot, and there are many others out there. Check this system out: http://muscle.am/g8Amdl
From there, you can take a look at the Ford Racing cut/clamp X-pipe. It'll sound really good and perform much better than stock: http://muscle.am/fwTwpB

My favorite is the Roush axle-back, sounds real good if you like them loud.

We have been selling a bunch of the Borla ATAK systems over the last few months!
Have a few specials going if you end up going that route.

pypes mid muffler kit can't beat the price for a complete bolt on 2.5" mandrel bent piping stainless steel catback. Jmo I have dual pypes m80s mid mounted exiting into dual 4" magnaflow tips total cost was $260 if I had to do it again I'd just buy the kit, as I believe these cars will benefit from 2.5" piping once you do other mods such as cai gears tune etc. Just my .02c and here's a pic of my setup from underneath. Oh yeah if you do decide on a straight pipe style what about getting the pypes muffler deletes? With 4" resonated tips&your stock resonators in place they shouldn't be to to obnoxious?

Straight pipes are definitely not the way to go on the V6. Without some sort of muffler / resonator, the sound is really metallic and only flattering at high RPM and WOT. Everywhere else in the rev band sounds utterly terrible, and does not belong on any car that costs more than $5k, nonetheless one pushing $30k.
