Using Sync, Help
Not really an issue, just want to know what I am doing wrong
At the "home" screen on the Nav
Playing Music from an Ipod, connected thru USB
I press the Voice command button
Says USB Audio, say a command..
but I want to give a command for Navigation, or Climate. It wont accept my command, nor give me the normal list of options on the screen. What am I overlooking

Tried all of that, I went into the menus and turned Sync for USB off.. something like that, now it functions as I feel it should, with control over everything, not just skipping to USB

If you are trying to connect to the voice guided navigation...Press the Voice (not phone) button and say "services" when it asks what service you need say "directions"
To use your phone just press the phone button.
To use your phone just press the phone button.

Yes, factory Nav unit. I turned off the one option in the menu and now its fine. No matter what I did before I was stuck on USB control commands. Could not give a Navigation command no matter what I told it

For me I just say "Navigation" and then it switches to the navigation menu. After that it's just a matter of following it up with one of the available options.

I tried that and it said it wasn't availible or something. Either way the way it is now I like better as it gives me the home screen with all the options, and I just need to say USB to get back to the usb voice menu

It sounds like it might "audio voice control" (attached). I didn't think this would block you out from other commands, but maybe it does. I can try it later.

Thats the one.. It seemed to block me out, unless maybe it didnt understand me but I tried commands like back, cancel, exit. Exit actually closed it completely if I remember correctly. Nav, Destination, Climate, all were invalid or something.

Glad you got the answer to the issue. I just have to state the obvious, really take the time to know your car inside and out. I encourage you to read the owners manual. I am not bashing you or saying you shouldn't post. I love helping others, however I think doing some hw will go a long way. I learned many new features I wouldn't have if I hadn't read my manual, like avoiding areas on the nav, burning CDs and watching movies. Give it a shot!
