It's road rash, how many people, including professionals must tell you this???? Those scratches go across both area of tire, not just the small lines you are talking about, but onto the SMOOTH area of the tire.
Stop being cheap? I took the below photo of my heavily modded '13GT500 with my Canon 7d...why don't you step up your game if you're gonna run with the big boys?

So I guess the Service Manager doesn't know what he is talking about when he told Ford that it's not possible to be road rash.
Ha! Ha! maybe you need to step up in both ways:
My Corvette ZR1 with 1000hp+

Better Half at 51 and still looking beautiful

Professional Photo well worth the money

That ZR1 pops up in the first page of google images when you search "black ZR1" and the first photo of the woman is clearly still watermarked. If you actually had paid for a photoshoot, or done it yourself, you would have the originals.
Looks like a food tire money practiced mounting and balancing with your rims. That's EXACTLY what it looks like when the arm that beads the tire is too close to the rim. The other scratches are from the tire iron they used, it slipped out and caught the rim. There's no beating ford though.
