Ugh. 2011 vert New roof

K. So I bought my car used ( barely w/4700).
Going into work one morning and the gate arm SLAMMED down on my roof. Needless to say I was pissed is an under statement.
My company paid my deducible and ran thru my ins. And my car finally got a new lid

Yeah. Looks good and not cheap @ $3300

they should of paid 100% of the cost. They have as a company carry insurance for a reason.

His insurance company will probably go after theirs for reimbursement.

Ouch. I'm afraid that's going to happen every day coming and going in my apartment building. We're in a gated community, and sometimes the gate will just stay open, even though the sign says it "closes after every car." So it's a gamble if you're going to go through it or stop and scan your card.

Glad everything is alright though.

Yeah. Thx. Took 2 days to install. But the good side is by going thru my ins I got a lifetime warranty on parts and labor. I'll need to look a little more in the details but it's still better than factory warranty.
I'm trying to look at the bright side.

They sure should pay 100%!! By filing on your insurance, won't this maybe cause your premium to rise?

No... It won't effect my rates.. That was one of my concerns also..

Got the car back..
Gotta bring the car back. UGH

Why can't people do the job right...
The interior head liner wasn't reinstalled properly and both sides of back seats seems to have scuff marks.

I always just wait for it to come down and go up specifically for my car, as opposed to it hanging up there after opening for a car before me.. Not such a dire situation that I'd take a risk, so I just play it safe

Ok.. I need to take a min and relax before venting... Ok maybe not just. Maybe the whole world. Anyway. Here's the scoop.

I went back to the dealership. He scratched his head. Grabbed dome cleaner and said. It doesn't make sense. They shouldn't have to do anything be back seat. He calked the upholstery shop and they said. Oh we took they whole back seat out. So I drove over there and he said. I don't know what those marks are from. Blah. Blah.
He did manage to straighten out the headliner which was an adjustment.

Fir the record. These actually look like Scotch Tape residue.

Between both guys. They got about 75% from one side and about 90% from other

For the most part. I'm content.

Thanks for letting me vent a little
