Like dry-lubricated smoothness, especially after a fresh coat of Zaino polish. There is no better feeling. The clay bar is so awesome and so easy.

Here is a NEW-DEER-REPAIRED photo sequence for E-Z comparison! (the last shot, without license plate, is how it looks now). New personalized plates and a Craig No-Drill front license plate mount are on order.

Note: The Driver's side headlight, both fog lights, the hood, left front fender, and bumper were all replaced (along with sundry plastic pieces in the front). The left front fender-to-hood gap is not as tight and uniform as it used to be but overall I think my body shop did an excellent job & recommend them highly if you are near central Virginia ("To a T Body Works", Powhatan, VA). "T" (Thomas, the owner) personally oversees every repair.

Yeah, seriously, that hood gap when new was precise as hell, as good or better that on my erstwhile BMW 540i 6MT.

It's now about where most folks (who don't own a S197) would expect a Mustang to be. The main thing is the contour of the new fender isn't exactly like the new hood (the hood is ever-so-slightly "flatter" than the fender at that edge), & I think that exacerbates the gap. Since all parts were new Ford/OEM I would have expected perfection, but you see, that's why stupid deer suck.

Overall I am TICKLED PINK AND MY CAR IS GREAT. Just gotta 'fix' that exhaust. Obstacle: Our vacuum cleaner broke last week, and the new one was $225 (on sale tho), which took a bite out of my exhaust budget that McGruff the Crime Dog would be proud of!
