TSW Tanaka wheels ... anybody have them / reviews on them?
Found these rims this morning, and like them a lot.
According the the site they'd fit the brembo cars no problem ...
Looking to see if any of you guys/gals have them and what you think of them.
The stagger would be 20x9 / 20x10.5 with tires most likely of 265/35R20 / 305/30R20 or widest-I'd-go would be 275/35R20 / 315/30R20 if I can find tires I like in those sizzes

I love these rims but the 10.5" width with the 40mm offset may be too close to the fender for me to want to use them ... I wish they were in the 45-50mm range ... sucks, I really thought I finally found MY next rims ...

Nice rims. They look a lot like Vossens. Are they more affordable? I really like the Brembo wheels, especially on a SMG car. Someday I'd like to see them offered in a 10.5" width.

Not to bring back an old thread, but has anyone tried this wheel setup on their car? I was pretty much set on this setup and then came across this thread.
What is the problem with the rear offset in a 20x10.5? You need less offset than 40? As in 35/30/25/etc.? If that is the case, couldn't you just add a wheel spacer?
The way blairnr67 worded it, you can't have LESS than a +35 offset, which would mean you could go more than 35 as in 40/45/etc.?
Edit: Plenty of people are running 20x10.5 Vossen's with a +42 offset. Curious how they are getting by with that.

I was told that a 10.5" wide rim should have a 45-50mm offset back there.
The 40 will put it too close to the edge of the fender or right at the edge, so over bumps might hit/do damage
I ended up going with some SVT 18x9.5 rims and I love them

But wouldn't the size of the tire determine whether or not it would hit the fender? ElementalWheels verifies they will fit the car. I would think if you run a tire that isn't too tall, it would be fine? Like if you ran a 295/30R20 or similar, it would be shorter than the stock tires.

I always thought stretching was putting a tire on a rim that was wider than recommended for the tire size in question. 295/30R20 is said by Michelin(Pilot Super Sports in this case) to fit a 10.5 inch rim.
...but i can understand if you don't like a smaller sidewall tire.

I would not buy TSWs. Too many people I know cracking them. I had a friend who broke 2 of them on her GTO (one cracked spoke and the replacement that she bought stopped holding air). And then there was this over on SVTP.
And some other guy with a Porsche at an HPDE
Plus terrible customer service.

Dang, I'd been reading good thing's about TSW. I've also been looking at Forgeline. Any better? I figured a rotary forged wheel was better than a cast wheel which is what most people seem to buy on a "somewhat-budget". I am not going to spend the money for a 3-piece fully forged wheel since I live where it's winter half the year and the paved roads around here are far from smooth.
You have any brands in mind? I'm open to suggestions. I hate looking for wheels. So many to choose from.
