TruFiber Carbon Fiber Hood

Well I was out on Saturday after Cars & Coffee Irvine and got to run over to TruFiber out in Corona to put on their 2010+ Carbon FIber Venom Hood. My buddy Derek came out with me in his 2009 GT CS. He has on there SVT Style Hood. So we decided to have a photo-op

Here they are

Tell us what you think =)

Looks very aggresive and mean - how much weight do you save with the new hood?

yeah, those cars both look downright mean!

and yeah again, how much weight does the carbon fiber hood save?

and how much do they cost? (I used to be a carbon fiber engineer, I know it ain't cheap)

and finally -- are the hood scoops functional? Is there new air plumbing inside to get the air from the scoops into the intake?

Very cool, I love what you've done with it!

Looks pretty good.

Do you guys work for Trufiber? Just ask because I wondered why you are both running TruFiber ads on your windsheilds.

Both cars would look much better without the Trufiber windshield banners, IMO.

no we don't work for them at all, we just support them because they are a bunch of great guys. Super nice and do a really great job on their products. Plus, there perfectionists and i like to see that in a company. There are too many companies out there that make auto parts and the product and customer services sucks and is below average.

We love the products we get from them and the service so we decided to rock their banner to show our appreciation =)

Questions.... we have questions.

1st. Great looking addition.
2nd. Did it require a lot of fitting or is it pretty much plug and play?
3rd. What did they charge for installation???
4th. Do you have any idea what the weight difference is?
5th. When will this recession end?
6th. Who will be in the next EXPENDABLES MOVIE?

Well, since everyone's asking questions:

1> Who'd win in a race between you and your friend with the 4.6L 3V-equipped GT?

My TruFiber hood fits like shyt. Although, I credit most of that to the wonderful (sarcasm) shop called Hardcore Mustangs who screwed me over on it.

I'm real happy with my Tru-Fiber hood execpt the squirters for the windshield washer don't fit so well. They body man glued them with some black stuff and the one on the drivers side still shoots low. I'll heat it with a heat gun and try to reposition it one of these days.

One other thing, I closed off my vents because I was worried about water damage to the engine electronics and critters getting in there. Do you guys have a problem or are yours closed as well?

This should have been the stock hood, IMHO.
