I have a 2010 mustang with a 4.0 and a 5speed 5r55s
and I have a 2005 with a 4.0 and a 5speed 5r55s I called my local ford dealer to see if the transmission was Interchangeable they said they have different part numbers but they couldn't tell me what was different about the two or if it would work all the electronic plugs are the same and


the bellhousing are the same So can anyone tell me if they're interchangeable here two pictures of the tags on the side of the transmission

 

Try calling a Wrecking yard and get the parts that Interchange, believe it or not they know more than the people at the dealership since they deal with it daily
