Well, it is an aquired taste. Having had a 1970 Mach 1, I personally love these high quality louvers. But I do realize that they are a love/hate mod for most.

Whatever works for you. Luckily, you seem to understand that you did ask for the opinion of others

As far as the whole "retro" thing goes I think Ford and in particular the vehicles designers/stylists have made an effort to distance themselves from that sorta stuff. The 10+'s have a very clean, smooth, modern look that to me make all of the scoops, stripes & louvers look just wrong. The vehicles body has enough shape to it that too much added on is just that, too much. Nothing wrong with a little simplicity and restraint.

But thats just my opinion I guess and you know what they say; opinions are like a-holes….everyone's got one.

Yup! And I respect everyone's opinions as well. This is why we have so many colors and models, as well as aftermarket upgrades....everyone has their own idea's and tastes. But this is what makes the Mustang so much fun for all. We can make it into whatever we personally want. At the very least, I am trying to look different from other 2010-11 Mustangs on the road.

I normally never post a negative comment regarding styling mods (like commenting on someones kid). But in the most respectful way I think it takes away from the car and its a waste of cash. Either that pic does not do justice or that is totally not within my taste range. Regarding the last 30-40 years, I also loved Cragars in the 70s but not a big fan of them on todays cars (Bullits either). Most important is you like it and its your car. All that truly matters.

Do the louvers open/lift??? If they're just "stick on", I say no-go. But if they lift and you can clean the glass, I like 'em! And I'm not a fan of stick-on anything.

Yes, they are hinged, and they have 2 prop rods that hold them up for cleaning. They are also made of cast aluminum and powder coated. I will say one thing, my car is staying much cooler after being parked outside than before!

Yes, that was KITT. He was sold to a 18 year old girl, who had totaled her '08 Mustang 2 weeks earlier in a rainstorm. Hopefully KITT will have a better life!!
