Traction Control off-How to spin the tires?

Black GT-

3:73's, Brembo's with the 19" tires. 6 speed manual

OK I think I am beyond any form of break in. 1400Km on her.

And maybe I a moron.

I tried to "lay some rubber tonight" (which will not be often)

So without popping the clutch how can I lay some rubber.

turned TC off.

Used to be able to do it my old Windsor 5.0 no problem.

Sorry I am 48 and want to do it at least once. But don;t want to burn the clutch. Or wear out those expensive tires.

(I used to be able to do a 50 feet burn out in a 79 Pinto (LOL) in reverse-rev the crap out of it and pop the clutch-very cool back then against Camaro's and Firebirds-Wore clutch out in 1 1/2 years but back then cost less then $200 to replace)

Thanks

All I have to do (the ONE time I did it) is get the RPMs up to about 3,000 - 3,500 and drop the clutch while stomping the gas. It's amazing the burnout the "little" V6 can leave.

You should be able to light em up from a 10mph roll just by lifting off the throttle and then matting it with TC off. Alternate method from a stop rev to 3k and dump the clutch while flooring the throttle.

First you want to make sure the traction control is turned completely off. There are three levels of control I believe on the 2011 GT.

After that it shouldn't be that hard to get them to spin.

A little RPM, a quick release of the clutch pedal and a lot of throttle input.

If you want, just drive it down here and I will give you a thorough demonstration...

Canada has banned burnouts. They're bad for you.

What?

You mean that you'd rather go to northern Virginia than to southeast Texas?

Hell, it's only going to be 97* with 98% humidity tomorrow, perfect summer vaction spot...
