Traction control?

Traction control?
Is it common for my 2013 GT to have a percentage of slippage built into the traction control to allow some wheel spin? Or does it just override it when I am aggressive on the gas and get wheel spin? Frankly as times it does not even seem thee is traction control with this car?

Like spin the tires from a stop? Mine does that too. I think if you have the Brembo or track packs it lets you spin them more.
I'm pretty sure these cars are capable of pretty good burnouts, so if you're hammering it and only spinning for 1/2 second, I'm pretty sure that's the traction control.
You could also go someplace safe, turn off traction control and see if your burnouts are different.

It allows for some spin before it kicks in. Stabilitrac will also allow you to slide a bit before it kicks in as well. Ask me how I know.
What it won't do is allow you to go too crazy before the nannies kick in.
Sport mode gives you even more leeway, but the nannies will stick kick in after a bit.

You can get some wheel spin with traction control on, but it will intervene pretty quickly. I normally drive with traction control off and advance track on. If you really light it up and the back starts to fishtail the advance track will come on and kill power even though the traction control is off. For autocross I turn everything off.
