Track day videos from Limerock in the 'Stang

Had a great day at LRP today - beautiful weather, sunny 60F. Brake were good today too!! Zero weeping for the first time ever!!!!!

It was SO NICE to have the brakes be there ALL DAY LONG!!! haha I was happy

BFG R1's are getting a touch worn, but still had some good solid laps.

Couple laps for anyone interested. The E46 M3 that passed me at the end is very quick... the aero package makes the thing STICK in the fast corners. Time for Mustang Aero modifications

Good video. Nice double apex and a relatively fun looking course. I'm jealous

It's a fun course - very fast and precision on hitting apexes is rewarded, but missing them by just a little kills momentum and lap times. Challenging course for sure. Average speed in the Mustang around it is about 90mph. It ate up my front drivers tire though as always

Next Friday headed out to a brand new course in the Northeast (Palmer Motorsports Park) to check that out. Looks very technical, so we'll see!!

Lots of fun - wish I could drive as a job!

Some clubs give hefty discounts for first time drivers for the first track day (get ya hooked!!)

Check out local events on Motorsportreg.com - no harm in looking at least

Nice driving! One thing that jumped out at me was how well your car sticks. Slicks and suspension mods make a huge difference!

Well done!

Yep the slicks grip really really well. They are addicting.

You mentioned upgrading the aero in your mustang. Now that you have a few track days with it, what do you think of the chin spoiler you have. I was thinking of going that route but I wasn't sure how functional it was. The one I really want is the Boss Leguna Seca setup but that is silly expensive. I go want the Pedestal spoiler which Ford will charge me $700 for part, paint and install which isn't bad for a new part. I cannot seem to find a slightly used one for trade or sale at all.

The splitter has held up great. For the cost I think it's excellent. I have no data to validate effectiveness but it is likely doing something based on the aerodynamics of splitters.

I'm largely interested in adding a bunch of rear downforce through a wing. Still debating getting a used trunk lid and mounting a big wing on that so I just swap trunk lid for events or adding the wing to my OEM trunk lid.

But on the splitter, yes I like it and wouldn't do a different one based on my budget.

Would you rather go pedestal style or something more like the rtr wing but bigger?

More like this. Real wing that is up in "clean" air for real downforce
