TPMS questions...2012 Mustang

Hello all,

I got some new wheels for my 2012 GT/CS and need TPMS before i get new tires, i don't want to take them out of my originals as i want to sell them.

I've seen some on fleabay and at AM etc., do i need mounting bands? Are they Mustang only or do the Ford ones fit all Fords?

I need to get this figured out before i head to the tire shop.

Thanks.

No bands needed for 10+. On eBay look up the seller Blue Oval Industries, they have sets for $109 I believe. I believe some are universal for certain fords. BOI reccommends you message them for fitment before you purchase if you're not sure.

There are a bunch of ebay sellers who show the old band style sensors as fitting 2010+ cars so be careful what you buy, all 2010+ use valve stem sensors.

just buy a set off ebay, they're around $106 and come with 4 new valve stems.
you don't even have to program them anymore on '10+, so you can change your new/old wheels back and forth whenever you want.

make sure they look like this: (some are also red but are the same OEM manufacturer)
