Torch Red/Saddle Interior??
The car at the L.A. Auto Show is Torch Red w/ a black interior and saddle seats/door inserts. The 2010 Order Guide does not reflect this as an available option...any thoughts?

Hmmm...pretty much what I figured.....too bad, I think it is a great combo----seen a lot on European cars. I suppose Ford could just as easily make it an available combo at a later time as well.

I am sure the aftermarket will be able to help you out as well. I was strongly considering adding blue accented leather to my sonic '05.

When the 2010s do come out, and the Saleen and Roush cars are out, keep an eye for take-off leather. You know they will most likely have some Saddle take-off OEM seat leather available.

05Fordgt--your earlier comment regarding pre-production cars brings forth another question....will the saddle interiors be as the L.A. auto show version....black with saddle seats and door inserts, or will it be like Stone with the doors, door inserts, headliner etc. all in stone with only the dash, console and arm rests in black? Or, do we yet know?? There seems to be some inconsistencies.

as a current red/saddle interior owner i would say pass up on it. I can clean the interior for hours and within the first 2-3 days of having my windows open all the time its filthy again

Yeah, you're right I just saw a pic of it.
What would you say is the difference between 2008 Dark Candy apple and the Candy apple they have on the 2010?

Tampabear--yes, that be the car in question.
Falchion---the 2010 Red Candy metallic with tinted clearcoat has a real "bling" to it....probably as a result of the tinted clear coat. The 2008/2009 Dark Candy Apple Red metallic was closer to the 2007 and earlier Red Fire, and of the 3, my fav. As I said earlier, too much "candy" in the red...IMHO. No doubt some will love it.

OK, thanks for the information! More bling is good!
I was thinking that I would go with the Sunset Gold if I get another Mustang in 2011, but that color is only going to be offered for one year. So maybe the Red Candy metallic would be the way to go? I like how it looks with the saddle interior!

So why Sunset Gold for only 1 year?? I too will wind up waiting for a 2011, 0r maybe even a really early 2012, delivered in 2011. My theory is that any significant cosmetic or option changes/upgrades will be for the 2012, much like the 2007 improvements. In reality, while its fun to "imagine" one must wait to see what will be offered.
