Took the 2010 GT convertible to the track-Video

We took our Black 2010 GT automatic convertible to the track last Friday. My first pass I earned my NHRA 100 MPH Club sticker. It wasn't pretty though...a brutal 1.07 sec reaction time and I ran a 14.00 at 100 mph. Second run was a 13.95 at 98.60 mph, third run against a Grabber Blue GT500 that looked like my GT500 was a 14.07 at 99 mph. I tried shifting manually and hit the rev limiter at the top of 2nd gear but I had a .4 sec holeshot on him. The forth and fifth runs I set the advancetrac to sport mode and ran a 13.95 at 100 mph and a 13.94 at 100 mph. Pretty pleased for a auto car with 20's. My 60 ft time were not very good 2.11-2.15 sec. It was fun!! My wife got my 2nd, 3rd and fourth run on video.

Yeah, it's always fun showing a trailered race car the tail lights of a street driven daily driver. My Whippled 2006 GT did that on several occasions and hopefully the GT500 will to.

When that GT500 finally got cranked up it unleashed a beast. The run wasn't the best but just by watching the two cars, the GT500 had a lot of force running through it!

The guy in the GT500 had run a 12.4 at 113 mph a couple weeks ago. The track was pretty slick. I had a .4 sec better reaction time but he blew by me at top of the 1/4 mile. He'll probably be there when I take my GT500 out. Maybe we'll get to line up together. lol Only 31 Grabber Blue with White Stripes and HID's 2010 GT500's built and 2 of them live in the same city. What are the odds?
