Hi guys, I got a nail in my tire yesterday at work. I took the car by a tire store in town that i have gone to for years and they patched the tire for free. This morning I walk out to my car and see what looks like grease on the outer edge of the tire. On closer inspection I see about an inch to a 2 inch spot where the paint was chipped off. I know for a fact that the tire store did this. I called the manager this morning and he was really nice and said to bring it in later for them to take a look at it. Should I get them to fix it even though they did the work for free? And, how many folks out there have had similar experinces with tire shops tearing up your wheels? And how much on average does it cost to repair rims?
The kid working on my car looked really young so maybe a newbie on the job but still unaceptable.
