To those with small kids - which front facing carseat?

I turned our Recaro Pro-Ride around in the Escape for a few days and Liam loved it. That said, it allows for rear facing up to 40lb, so in the Escape and Focus, we'll keep him rear facing as long as possible.

I plan to get another car seat for the Mustang and have him front facing, since it's a lot easier to load him up and he's outgrown the baby carriers. On the other hand, the Recaro we have didn't fit very well in the back of the Mustang because it is a convertible seat that goes up to 70lb, so it's on the larger side. The Recaro is very flat on the bottom, and wide, so it doesn't fit well into the scalloped bucket seats in the back of our cars. Does anyone have any front facing recommendations that fit well in the car and go up to 50-70lb? Post pics if you can. Thanks!

Recaro Pro-Sport.

I looked around for a long time before I decided on this seat. Fits PERFECT! And it matches the front seats.
I ended up removing the backseat headrest for a cleaner install.

Yo Patrick,

you know my daughters turning 7 very soon. she's probably about 50ish LBS now.

she's in a booster seat.

http://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/youth-bo.../1255136257242

This is the exact one she has. it fits PERFECT in the mustang.

Don't know if the laws in the US are different or not.

In Canada, she's allowed in a booster seat like that one as long as she's under the age of 8 and between 40-80LBS.

Not sure if the US is the same or not.. but you might want to consider something easier once he hits 40LBS if it applies to the US as well.

Ah that does fit perfect. Liam is not even close to being ready for a booster though LOL. He's just a little guy - almost 2 and only 21lb haha.

Finally picked this up and installed it this morning. Fits the car so much better! The Latch belt length is a little short though. I just barely made it from one side to the other with the cover I have over the leather rear seat. Otherwise, it fits SO good in there!

I will have to do this in ~1.5 years. My daughter still rides rear facing, and prefers the Mustang out of the 3 cars in the household. Something about the exhaust note chills her the F out. Will do my best to keep it this way!

P.S Her ride home from the Hospital was in a Mustang. 'Murica.

Haha my boys rode home in the Escape and the Focus, respectively, but in their Recaro car seats of course! And yeah Liam loves riding in the Mustang, even more so now that he's front facing!
