Thinking about selling my Shelby
Not sure what I am going to do. I have two SVT Mustangs and and am out of garage space to be able to add something new.
I will never sell my 04 Cobra. Which puts the 2011 GT500 in the cross hairs.
Not sure if it is worth paying to store it offsite for a car that may get 1000 miles a year going forward. My kids do not want me to sell it.
I just can't justify spending $$$$$ on a new car and letting it set outside (northern winters).
What decision did you guys make when faced with a similar situation? Keep a depreciating asset or sell it with fond memories?

I made a similar decision this spring regarding my beautiful Aprilia motorcycle. It was hard, but my personal sentimentality towards vehicles is short term. Glad I sold her. Maintaining insurance, keeping the fluids and engine fresh etc, for a bike I rarely rode, just didn't make sense. Despite the rarety and beauty of it.

1st world problems...
Not a bad problem to have at all my friend. What do you plan on replacing the Shelby with? Will the memories be better with the new rig? I do understand fun is subjective but with so few miles a year, are you really doing anything to have amazing memories in the less than 100 mile a month average?

Personally unless I was made of money I wouldn't spend more money to garage a car that is going to sit idle most of the time losing value every year. So I say get rid of it and get something you are going to drive more often.

That's the most fun you can have for around 40K short of getting a regular GT Track Pack. Very nice car though. There are a couple of them around. I haven't driven one yet though. I would can the Shelby.
