Thinking about changing your stock wheels !

I will definately change my Brembo wheels as soon as i get the car. I am looking at a few models, including the RTR wheels ala Stinger 1982 ( Shaun), or something in the same lines and color.
Who else is thinking of doint the same. I'll probably stick with 19" and go with 275-285/40's rubber all around. Here is a site i found that makes those RTR Mustang wheels, they have some very nice ones.

I'm probably going to look into the RTR wheels or the SVT PP wheels if someone has a set of take-offs they're willing to part with.

He did have some rubbing issues with those tires, since they were a bit more "square" than a normal 275. You could avoid that by running the 1" instead of the 1.5" drop.

Rubbing up front with 275's. Hum, so going 265's could resolve the issue. I just ordered the 1.5 inch drop coils. I never knew about that issue with those wheels and tires.

I met him at a local meet and we talked about the suspension. For the price he paid for the tires, I'd deal with it too.

Just got a PM from him and he said that it is the larger Good Year tires that were the issue, not the Falken's. So probably he was running larger tires for racing-tracking.

Yep, like I said previously. The tires are a larger 275 than you'd get from other brands. RTR uses the Falken's without any issues.

Knowing that, i'll sleep better tonight. Those wheels are awesome. Their model V710 from link provided above.

I was thinking the same, those SVT PP are really nice, but i don't think anyone in their right mind will want to part with them. And buying them from Ford, well that's if i win the lottery.

I love the Brembo wheels. Although the base '11 GT500 wheels are probably my favorite. The SVT PP and RTR's aren't too shabby either. Shoot, I guess I like them all!

I am also liking the wheels that come with the Brembo Brake package. I might change them down the road but not for awhile at least.

I'm very fond of the BBS RG-R in Diamond Black. A lil over 4k. But it's an amazing rim at 19" The wheel weights less than 20lbs, and is extremely durable. Really good buy. And a similar look to the Gittin Rim.

The other make, for me, which is sort of stepping away from the norm- say of it what you will- is the O.Z. Botticelli III. in either a gunmetal or black finish. A very intricate, good looking rim. 19" come in at just under 4k. 30lbs per rim.

Or as of late, I'm feelin the OZ 35th Anniversary edition: Clean.

I thought the same thing about the 2010 GT500 19s, but we see a good mix of those for sale online. There will be people who dump the wheels for something else, just give it time. And don't forget they'll probably run for more than a year, so they might be somewhat plentiful.

I also like the Brembo wheels, so sticking with them for a bit isn't a bad thing. They're one of the few wheels that I actually like from the factory.

As for the wheels you posted, the OZs don't do it for me at all. The Ultraleggera's are about as close as it comes for a nice wheel from them, otherwise they're too busy for me. The BBS are a great looking wheel, but I'm so used to seeing that style on a BMW.

One of my favorite wheels is the Axis Halo. Simple 7-spoke with a touch of color, just not sure if they'd translate well onto a Mustang (they only come in 18s anyway):

All those wheels look right at home on BMWs but I'm not so sure about on a Mustang.

I really wanted a set of offset style wheels, like the MB AMG wheels look, yeah, I made that reference. I had originally wanted a set of hot-rodesque Budnik GTB wheels with a little bit of a rolled lip for more an American flair with the offset styling. The key will be finding wheels that the Brembo pkg will work with. I just love that wide meat in the rear. God, let the "that's what she said" jokes commence!

Yeah, I know, the banana is pretty phallic.

I'm going with 19x9 Saleen Heritage 5-spoke charcoal wheels...

They are nice change from Bullitt wheels IMO.

Now trying to decide on a 255/4ZR19 tire to wrap them with...
Pirelli PZero
Michelin Pilot Sport PS2
Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Pole Position
Continental Tire ExtremeContact DW
