That would look nice. Not sure about the key issue though.

Yeah, that would hurt.

funny how taste of people are different. I would be the opposite, if my car did turn the headlights on I would complain about that. I perfer not to announce to everyone that I locked or unlocked my car.

I perfer the only indication of the lock or unlock was the faint sound of the locks flipping. Unless you really wanted to hear it lock you could hit it twice to make it honk or flash to confirm.

So far I've been enjoying my car. However, there are a few things.

1) Paint the rear axle, it cost next to nothing.
2) Better quality control at the factory. There seems to be a rash of quality control issues with the GT500. Things that someone should have caught before delivery.

Definitely as you say, personal tastes. My headlights come on when I unlock it, and I use that more than I should. We don't have a garage and the driveway gets dark at night.

Does anyone know if that's a feature that can be turned off or on by the dealer? I know BMWs can be programmed to individual tastes like that at the dealership.

I know if your car is one where they turn on when unlocking that feature can be disabled. for me only the marker and parking lights come on so i am not sure if that can be enabled or disabled

I don't think it would work due to the shape of the panel.

You are right, it wouldn't work without a spacer being fabricated. The 2010 has a Concave Trunk Center Panel and the 05-09's had a Flat Panel between the tail lights.

D'oh, that's right, completely forgot about that. Still... I know some of you are enterprising modders.

Since the 2005-2009 is relatively flat where the giant fake gas cap mounts, and the 2010 is very curved, I'm sure that would be a very painful swap.

This is being sorta nit-picky... but I'd like to see perhaps a digital MPH reading in the message center. 25, 35, 45, 55, 65mph is sorta hard on the eyes at times! :P

Also perhaps maybe a fuel door that has a hinge that locks it when the car is locked.

But again, nothing that impacts a decision on purchasing one.

I have never been a fan of a locking fuel door but i do like the idea of having one that is tied into the locks of doors.

good thinking!

My Grocery Getter 08 gt has the locking fuel door tied with the locks and it works really well.

Doubt it. I believe BMW has this standard.

Seems like a good idea as long as the "lock" doesn't fail and the first time you notice is at the gas station trying to fill up

Yes they do, but... he said it's on his 08 GT and I ran out and checked if my 08 GT did it and it doesn't.

I must have missed "GT". 08 Mustangs have a place for you to put your finger and open the lid. There's no way it locks. Dude is dillusional or referring to another type of GT. Porsche GT perhaps? Lol.

Love my car and these are all just nits but...

Adjustable seat belt height
Larger gas tank
Heat coming into the passenger compartment when it is hot outside (maybe from sound tube??)
Map pockets in the door are useless fix them or remove them
Allow use of the USB and the aux jack at the same time
Coating on the break rotors so they don't show rust as soon as you wash the car

No its my GG 08 Pontiac GT. It works great. There is also no finger hold, you have to push it in to get it to "pop" open. You wouldn't be able to get any leverage without prying it open with something and this would be difficult due to the lack of gap.

Love my GT, only a couple of gripes.

1. Stereo screen on my base GT is FRAGILE. Wiped it with a soft cloth, no debris on it or anything and it scratched. Badly. Now I would like to wipe down my gauges, but am afraid it is the same kind of plastic and don't want to see them get trashed.

2. Paint on the bumpers seems a little off.. color wise. It is not blatantly obvious but I can tell..

3. Fit of the bumpers up to the sheet metal seems a little off/snug. My wife's 07 Fusion has the same issue. It seems almost too tight..

Like I said, the car is a blast and I love driving it, but these little things are sorta annoying..
