They are dealing on the '10 GTs!
I had been considering an '11 GT like many of you, but realize that good deals on them may not be available for some time. And then there is the new drivetrain realiability question. So yesterday I traded my '06 on a new '10 GT (see sig for details) at $7K off sticker with rebates! That is ~$4500 below invoice! I didn't even have to haggle--it was at a one-price store that advertised this deal.
The '10 is so much improved from my '06 that it should keep me happy until I'm ready to trade again in 3 years or so for a then-proven and discounted leftover '12 or '13. And yes, I know...

Congrats on the great deal, Jim! Most of us dealers know that many people won't consider a '10 unless there's a substantial discount now that the 5.0L is debuting in the '11. All that money you saved on the '10 will buy a lot of mods to keep up with (or surpass) the '11 in performance.
@IWantMyNewGT: Congratulations on your new ride. I drove a '10 GT a couple weeks ago to help me decide if I want an '11 5.0L GT. I was very impressed with how nice it was, having not driven a Mustang since my ex-gf's 1983 Fox Body with 88hp.
@Brian: I will definitely keep looking. Thanks. I wonder if geography is playing into the local prices.

Nice deals. All the tech minus the new 5.0 engine. Hell with F/I prices the way they are, slap one of those on and your good to go ! A 2010 with a track pack and some mods will be a very nice ride
great deal?
"Great deal! Mine had an MSRP of $33.7K and was out-the-door around $29.7K.

- IWantMyNewGT
Obviously there is a tax component,
but $33.7K – $7K = $26.7K
Calif. Sales Tax rate = 7.25%
26.7K times 1.0725 = 28.6K
What was the other $1,000-ish?

Just very curious . . .
