He answers the question indirectly- saying the car can't turn with bigger fronts. I think they just got lazy... He says to look at competitors in this HP/track class- I did, the cars have big rears and compatible fronts...

The answer to great handling is not just about putting the biggest tires possible on a car. Especially when the car has to be many things to many people and more factors are at play than all out track capability. That's what the aftermarket is for. Bigger tires on the rear mean putting bigger tires on the front. The Shelby is already almost maxed out on front tire width so there goes that idea. The ZL1 might have some wider tires but it's not going to be fun to be fighting the steering wheel on public roads with grooves and a crown to them.

Those cars are also running wheels the run from 11" to 12" in the rear........that's gotta be a plus too!

ill probably go with 19s all around, tires will be cheaper and i can lower the back a little and the car will be leveled.
