Sync update keeps failing

So I bought a 2010 Mustang GT this past week in amazing shape (6th I have owned lol) And it has the non navigation Shaker system with Sync. According to the sync website my system has not been updated since it was built. I see version 4.4 is available. I copied the files to 5 different flash drives ranging from 2GB to 32GB. Overtime I go to Sync USB and select install application it says installation failed either not enough space or not for this device. I don't know if this is because eI removed an old 2010 Fusion from this same account and there is a mix up or what. But, after 3-4 hours I never got it to work. I have PMed FordIVTeam with no response. Any ideas?

Is the Owner site going to be updated with a sync download that works?

Just a heads up to anyone following this I still have not found a resolution. Tempted to take it to the dealer but the cost would be crazy I'm sure

I'm having the same issue. This is driving me nuts. I'm on the AD software and trying to get to AF. I really am looking forward to resuming bluetooth audio.

After trying 5 different usb sticks ranging from 4gb to 64gb alll formatted to FAT32, I finally found one who does not deliver a "No file found" message (don't ask me what is different on this one). I was stoked. I pressed Install Application and I saw "Installing application". My heart was racing. After one minute I get the message "Installation failed either not enough space or not for this device".

Seriously this is 2016, SYNC brings me back to 1989 the stone age of computers. My Intel 486 processor was more powerful, less buggy and easier to update than that. Come on Ford.
