Suspension help..

First off sorry for posting a question that has prob already been asked before, but the search function is blocked for me at work.

I am looking to get some new wheels and rubber and to finish off the look I want to lower it. I am confused by all the talk of needing strut mounts from a 05-10 mustang to allow springs to work with the 11's. I plan on getting the Steeda Sport Springs and the fays2 Watt link. Now I saw that MM sell 2011+ CC plates http://www.maximummotorsports.com/st...oducts_id=1400 and was wondering if these eliminated the need to get 05-10 mounts?

No need to worry about Strut tops if you're just changing springs....However, if you want to do it right you should consider a strut/shock upgrade to deal with the higher rate springs. Since only the older style performance shocks are available at this time, you would need the 2010 and earlier strut tops. The shock shaft top machined lengths are different. The strut tops you linked to look like they utilize a spacer to deal with the older style shocks so will work with either as they say...

Ok so the best bet would be just to go to a dealership and order some strut mounts from the 05-10. I didnt think they made any springs that were for the 2011's just the 10's and it required a spacer to use them with the 11's

Again, NOTHING additional is needed if you just plan to do springs. ONLY if you plan to change shocks. There is no difference in spring length between 05'-10' and '11-'12
