Sub question

Does anyone know if the 2011 GT premium coup came pre wired for a subwoofer in the trunk. A friend just gave me his sub out of a 2013 Shelby. The shop that took it out told him it would mount into my 2011 GT. I don't see any wires

No. The subs would have been mounted in the doors. if it was a shaker system.

Incorrect. The Shaker 1000 has a subwoofer in the trunk, mounted against the passenger side fender. I'm guessing the harness is different and you are on your own to get it wired up. You may have to hunt around for a salvage yard harness if you can't figure out the hookup, or have a stereo installer do it for you.

I have the opposite question. Can I remove the Sub from my trunk? I have a vert and the box takes up a 3rd of the available truck space!

I did some research on this quite a while ago.

I'm pretty sure your car is not wired for the sub in trunk. There is also an amp back there as well if I remember correctly. If you make the swap with him, consider swapping trunk carpet as well since his will have a cut out and yours will not.

I have been contemplating removing sub as well. My clubs don't fit in trunk without removing all the woods. Everything I read says it's a simple process. Just a couple of bolts.

I really like the shaker pro so I don't know how much affect that will have on the audio if removed. Maybe nothing very noticeable.

And please don't hate on the shaker pro. I realize it's not nearly an audiophiles dream.... I just don't know any better!

If you already have the shaker 500, it should be wired for the trunk sub. That is how the 05-09's were anyways.

Did he give you just the sub or did he give you the amps too?

I have every electronic option except the Shaker Pro in my 2014 GT. Where specifically is this connector in the well, and I'll tell you what mine's connected to if I can figure it out.

Bottom right in this picture. The connector is on a stand off but not used.

Nice picture. It's night time and I wasn't as lucky.

I can't see the connector in my trunk, but I'll tell you that I have a black box cr3t-15k866-ea mounted right there, and Googling suggests it is the rear park assist module.

On the subject of prewiring for the Shaker Pro, I would expect it to be over on the passenger rear quarter panel, but I haven't pulled the trim off to look for a spare connector.

I will look tomorrow. Just got in. I am thinking they do not have a wiring harness for every option group. The only think I am missing is the Shaker Pro.

Did you see anything?
