Quick wheel offset question, please help.

First off sorry if this is the wrong section for this and sorry for not making an intro post. But, locally I have a chance to buy a set of new Forgestar F14s for a good price in a few hours but I would like to know if the following would work. I have a new 2014 GT and plan on lowering it about an inch in the front and an inch and a half in the rear maybe a but lower. The Forgestars are 18x9.5 with a 36 offset. I would run 275/40/18 tires all around. I do not want any rubbing at all. Based on some research I did with offset calculators it looks like this would work but I would like some opinions. All help appreciated. Thanks!

You should be perfectly fine with that setup and drop. Go for it! Make sure they're the right bolt pattern and hub.

I would go with a higher offset for the rear, at least a 45.

With the +36, you'll be right flush with the fender. With a 1" drop you'll be fine. With 1.5" or lower, make sure you have an adjustable PHB and even then you shouldn't have any rubbing, but 1.5" or lower I'd roll the fenders just in case.

Depending on his stock wheels, they run from 40 to 45 offset. I would rather play it safe and run a higher offset to get the rim to set further back. That would reduce the chance of rolling the fender and if he ever decides to run a larger tire in the future

I run Forgestar CF5's in a 19X9.5 with 285/35/19 all the way around...rear only is lowered with Steeda Boss 302 lowering springs. No rubbing issues at all. Measurement from ground to fender lip on front 28 1/8"...rear is 28 1/4".
