I went to place my order today, as the sales guy was putting it into the computer i noticed the racing stripe came up as "White Stripe - 852". In the price list I had from this site it was "Racing Stripe - Over The Top - 47A"

The dude said it was the same thing but at no cost. Anyone want to enlighten me on that? I dont see anything with code 852 in the pdfs here.

 

That's probably the side stripe on the V6 Premium cars ... since the GT cars have Stripe Delete ... maybe he undeleted it ... but that wouldn't be same as over the top.

 

The order guide mentions 852 as selecting white when specifying 47A if I'm reading it correctly. Take a look at page 13 of the guide in this thread.

That code 852 or 85X is for the side stripes OR for the over the top stripes. The 2 or X responds to either White or Black color that you can get.

 

The order guide says the dealer must order 47A for the OTTS + add code 852 to indicate the color WHITE ... so it's not gonna be NO COST. I bet if he does not add 47A you get a stripeless car - or the order gets rejected for an error ?

 

Yea, we got it all figured out yesterday when I actually placed the order... pic of the slip going up momentarily.

 

47A is the over the top stripe option, but when we place orders we also have to tell Ford which color stripes with the 852 or 85X codes.
