The Steeda Difference!

Hey Guys/Gals,

Editor Evan Smith of Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords magazine talks with Dario Orlando of Steeda at Sebring International Raceway during the Track Guys open track event.

This will give you a brief insight to the design, testing, and thought process that goes into our Steeda parts. Ill let you watch the video and see the Steeda difference.

How much is the front splitter for the 2013? I don't see it on your website.

Thanks

The front splitter is around $2400 unpainted. This is a part that we stock and order from Ford Racing.

Can always make a weekend trip .

We worked with Ford Racing designing the front splitter. It was a team effort.

Best Regards,

TJ

Ummm, I'm talking about the flat plastic splitter that looks like it's tacked on underneath the factory splitter. I'll take it for $240, but if it's $2400... no comment.

What am I missing...it seems to me M-16601-MBA is the complete kit with the bumper internal bracket, the two center support links and the splitter itself for $829.95. The other kit appears to be a service kit to replace the splitter and links (Presumably if it gets damaged). I'm interested but need clarity before I plunk down cash. Please help.

The parts that I am referring to are not on the website yet for the 2013 models. I was showing the 2012 stuff as a reference the to 2013 parts. The 2012 does not have to use the added lip like the 2013 Mustang does. This is because the front fascia is different in 2013 and the filler piece is needed for the front splitter.

This is from an internal email that we received this past week.

You will need this part M-16601 first....

M-16601-MBKIT 2013 Mustang GT/V6 Front Splitter

· Fits 2013 Mustang GT/V6
· Standard Equipment on 2013 Boss 302

In order to add this part you will need to have M-16601 already installed:

M-16601-MBA 2013 Boss Laguna Front Splitter Kit

· Fits 2013 Boss 302 (Standard Equipment on Laguna Seca)
· Fits 2013 Mustang GT/V6 - requires M-16601-MBKIT 2013 Mustang GT/V6 Front Splitter

My apologies on the confusion. PM if you are interested and we can look at forum pricing and see what we can get it down to.

Best Regards,

Tim

We currently have our Focus ST on hand!!! Beautiful car and styling. Great the way it was introduced by Ford.... But we can make it better!!

We are going to start working it over and start adding our Steeda parts. We will definitely have some upgrades available shortly.

Best Regards,

TJ

Tim,

It's OK to call me dense...others have and sometimes it's even accurate! If I understand what you're driving at...the kit M-16601-MBA is the actual splitter kit with bumper mount, jury struts and splitter. Kit M16601-MBKIT is a different windage tray (Underpan) than what's on '13's and it needs to be changed to accept the MBA splitter kit? If I'm correct, that's a quite a bit of money -even at a discount price- for those few panels. Without intending to sound like an @ss, apparently Steeda and Ford are not highly motivated to sell many of these...

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks,
John

Funny, I just scraped the crap out of my spoiler lip on my 13.
I wanted to go with the Boss spoiler but no way @ $400 + for plastic.
This one @ $2400 might sell in the 10's but no way in 100's or for sure 1000's.

There must be some insane tooling fee's for those lower pieces to sell for $2400. The roush front chin spoiler is $189.99, which is amazing considering what roush charges on a window sticker for stage x mustangs.

My max offer for those lower pieces would be in the $3xx.00 range. After that it's just not worth it, sorry.

John,

You have to understand this piece is not intended for just an "exterior" upgrade. This upgrade is intended to increases front downforce for road racing and open track applications. Yes, it is expensive but not for road racers looking to gain an edge.

We didn't set the price and this is not your every day exterior upgrade part.

Best Regards,

Tim
