Steeda CAI - Installed - Impression
I did not have to use the "strategy tune" since i got a Steeda custom tune with all specs already downloaded into the SCT programmer. I just set it for 93 tune. I did however return to stock tune just out of curiosity, it only took a few minutes doing so, then i reinstalled the Steeda tune .
Like Steve posted, the Steeda comes with three different octane tunes. I had my tune custom programmmed by Jeff over at STEEDA and send to me via e-mail to my dealership (vendor) when buying the Steeda CAI and SCT programmer . I'm running the 93 tune right now.

But the CAI kit says never to run it with the stock tune. I'm guessing you just ignored that?
The thing is, the tune and CAI are readily removable if you need some sort of engine/drivetrain warranty work done.
I guess technically, you're right, but if they see that the rev limiter passed 8000 rpm, you're in for a long argument with the service dept. Remember that the ECU is just like a plane's black box ( actualy it is red), it will tell the true story. Gotta be carefull with these tunes, make sure you get it from a reputable shop and that it is a safe one.

What he said. Also with our strong relationship with Ford Motor Company, you will not have a problem with the CAI. Figure, we built these for the OEM Shelbys for all their GT's. (non GT500)
