I would think Steeda would have the best tune for a Steeda intake.

I had the Steeda CAI and a tune on my '13 GT before I went to a Procharger last week. I liked it a lot.

I just got the steeda intake and steeda tune. Like all the other Steeda products I've received, I am VERY satisfied. Impressive results from just a tune and intake. Steeda even programmed the SCT with my custom tunes. Wow do I love the sound!

Thanks Steeda!

holy crap...and no other mods? I didn't think you could put down 410 with just an intake and tune

That's actually right on par with what Steeda advertises. Their website states that the Steeda intake/tune combo with no other mods gives you 407hp and 384tq at the wheels

I can see this combo being on my build list sometime soon.

TJ, I'm sure this questions been beat around but does the intake and tune void the warranty? That's the only thing holding me back.

On a related note: TJ, what does the curve look like with the no tune required Steeda intake?

Pretty much. If Ford can link the tune to the root cause of failure, your warranty won't cover it. Just about any failure can be blamed on a tune for giving the car more horsepower than it was designed for.

The Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act is a good source for knowing your rights when it comes to aftermarket parts.

To help alleviate your concerns, a failure from a tune, particularly our tunes is extremely rare. The tunes we send out are the same tunes used in our Steeda serialized vehicles sold through Ford dealers. Vehicles that are backed by a warranty, hence need to have a tune that is not going to cause us warranty issues.

Should an engine failure occur, we would work with the Ford dealer for proper diagnostics, this would include not only traditional diagnostics but things such as fuel octane testing and other techniques to fully determine the cause of failure. Should it be determined that indeed the tuning was the cause of the engine failure and not abuse, over revving, improper fuel octane, etc, then we would work with the customer on resolving the failure.

Steeda has your back & the experience to keep your investment safe.

Best Regards,

TJ

I will have to ask for one ... dyno sheet ... but previous tests have shown 9 to 12 horsepower over the stock airbox, mostly above 4,000rpm.

Just wanted to chime in real quick and make sure no one thinks I was saying Steeda tunes are unsafe. Was just mentioning Ford's warranty stance per that TSB they put out a few years ago, and I'm sure it's somewhere in the warranty manual. Steeda is a great company and I've only heard good things about their tunes!

Wow, thank you for the responce! You have my order! If the performance difference is anything like the cai/tune was on the 05s, my mpgs will definitely be going down!

Once you add the CAI & Tune ... it changes from MPG to SPG (Smiles Per Gallon)

Also, I never saw a negative impact to mileage with the Steeda CAI and tune. Best of both worlds.
