Spring startup - electrical issue

So this afternoon I started her up for the first time. The battery was disconnected all winter. When I restarted, all the lights worked fine, radio worked fine, climate control worked fine, DIC worked fine, but the MyColor gauge lighting didn't work and the backlighting for the radio and climate control buttons didn't work. Ambient lights (including MyColor functions) and other interior lights worked fine. I checked fuses 14 and 26 in the passenger footwell and they're fine. Just wondering if I'm missing something stupid, or if I need to get this thing in for a look?

EDIT: I should note, the gauge lighting stays in "day" mode with the white lighting. It never switches to "night" mode with the MyColor settings. Dimmer switch does nothing at all.

Where was the car stored? Any chance of a rodent chewing on a few wires.

In my own garage, and no. But I solved it. Disconnected both battery terminals again, touched the leads together to fully discharge every memory system, reconnected, all is well. Interesting that even with this, it held my radio presets all winter.

Hey lakeguy77,

Good to see that this is functioning again. Just a head's up, if anything arises, don't hesitate to reach out; I'm here to help our Canadian members, such as yourself, with any questions or concerns.

Next winter you might use a battery tender instead of unhooking it. I used one on mine all winter and no electrical problems at all. I use the cheap schumacher one from Walmart. They are right at $20 and I have them on five vehicles and one ATV.
