Speculation of new Mustang Colors
Just Checked CNN and heres what they had to say about new colors comming from Ford:
Ford is working hard on, quite literally, the new black.
"Black is going to get more special and its going to surprise and delight," said Susan Lampinen, Ford's chief designer for color and materials.
The new black will be used across Ford's line-up.
"We want to be the leaders in black," Lampinen said.
So it's Quite possible that something like "Black Jade" could be back for the Mustang ...Sweet Here's a pic of black jade from the 69 Mustang lineup on this site.

The artical spoke of metalic and pearl based paints for color shifting .It also spoke of a 3 part paint system rather than a 2 part (basecoat clearcoat) for getting the color shifting.I know AAI is a newer factory but i don't know if they can do a 3 part spray .
In any event it looks like a color shifting black is in the works and with Dark highland green being on the Bullit for next year I could possibly see this as a option as well as a few other options like possibly a blue/black combo.

Not to be negative but I would not count on it. I mean honestly DHG is half the reason a Bullit SE sells so offering it as a stand alone does not make sense. Much like Azure Blue on the Mach 1.

Black Jade is a greenish color so I doubt Ford would bring it back as "the new black"

My only concern is which one of the two blacks is darker.

They're definately geting enough colors so that people can find what they want, huh? I wish DHG would be a base color, Id probably buy that.

I saw the new Candy Apple Red on a 2008 Mustang GT. It was very nice!
Sorry no pictures. But, I am leaning towards Black again.
As for me crying about an SE Mustang? Those days may be over. I just may end up with another GT. The longer I wait for an SE, the more I convince myself I can do better things with my extra $5000 - $8000.
