Y'know that would probably work better by emulating the 69 Shelbys, it just seems to me the lines would work better that way.

I think it's cool. I really like the front end. I'd like to see a larger rear wheelhouse opening and a larger wheel and tire combo in there to balance out the proportions. A few tweeks to improve the execution and that could be pretty sweet.

The proportions are just off.
I'm with you...it looks like a caricature of the original. Not diggin' it.

It is an interesting idea though. I see the same problem that the newer Challengers have...the body doesn't "tuck in" enough at the bottom for it to look right, nor are the tops of the fenders in the right place. It's as if they're too high which throws it all out of proportion (to my eye).

Take it easy on the rear end ok OCD....LOL!

I think they look alright, one of those rare finds that looks better in the pics than in real life.

I'd take a 69 body with an 11 drivetrain and interior!

But yes, agree on both points.

Here is the original window sticker for it... It started out as a black car.

I really like it..... idk y. Probably cuz i have a model version of the 68 fastback on my desk n it reminds me alot of it. Id definitely take it over stock 10 Gt. Now over a new 5.0? Different story....

You mean like this?

The red / black one behind the Boss has an 'Elenor' look to it.

I like a little retro so remind me of where we came from, but these things are a little much. If you want a '68 '69 or whatever find one and restore it. The Mustang must continue to evolve.

I can understand the attraction of these cars. I loved my first generation Mustangs but sometimes I find myself thinking "what am I getting nostalgic about?" They looked great and were fast but for the most part they couldn't stop or turn a corner to save your life, had vinyl interiors with no A/C, AM only radio (or FM with 8-track in later models), and needed constant attention (points, condenser, cap, rotor...). Now I've got a car that is just as fast (if not faster), gets far better mileage, handles well, has a comfortable interior and a good sound system, needs little maintenance, and is fun to drive. Having one that looked like a classic might not be such a bad idea.

Got to agree. I really want to love this car, but it's not quite there for me......the wheelbase just looks to short.....and there's just too much metal in the rear 3/4. I wonder if it would look better balanced if they added the rear side window, like the original.

Photoshop, TN?
