You need to learn how to shift! I haven't missed third once!
(Granted, that's not factoring in lateral forces involved in a road race, but I'm conveniently leaving that out. It's in my best interest at this point in time.)

The stock shifter aint no S2000 shifter, but it still feels very good to me. Still, I totally agree with Fresh and Shaun that 20% less throw would be a great thing.
How hard would it be to install, and apprx how much would it cost? $250/2 hours?

what about the short throw shifter on 2010 GT, does anyone have any experience with them, good stuff?
I have never missed the shift to 3rd either, but it takes me a long time to get there!
Do I understand correctly that with the Steeda short throw you can more-or-less slam it forward (and a little right) from 2nd and you will hit 3rd every time?

I'm looking to see how much I can get out of the stock drivetrain. Mostly suspension upgrades in my plans.
...and I do agree that the stock shifter is awesome for stock, but I want better. I drive a 6spd Kenworth all day so shifting with a flick of the wrist has proven to be a great thing.

Hey guys, love all the anticipation for the new 2011 Tri-Ax.
Right now we are done tweaking the latest design. Some parts have made it to production already. Once the rest are finished everything can go out to plating.
Looking at about 3-4 weeks till they are on the shelf.

Let me get my two cents in..
I had the Pro 5.0 short throw shifter in my 05 GT, and now I have a 2011 GT/CS. I think the stock '11 shifter is better then my 05 Pro 5.0 shifter was.
Is the Steeda shifter gonna make me happy? I have no clue. Anyone want to help me out here?? lol

We think our shifter will definitely make those who purchase it happy.

I'm very happy with the stock ford unit. Better however is always better...hence the meaning of the word better!
